- wilderness systems tempest kayak – borrowed from kayak company, good kayaks in general, ours were just well used.
- segla gear paddles – i was using both the ikigai greenland and the taikiu euro blade – I recommend the ikigai if you haven’t tried a greenland before.
- snapdragon spray skirt – bombproof and comfortable.
- palm atom drysuit – would definetly recommend a full touring suit but it was fine for this trip.
- kokatat centurion pfd – very good, comfortable and lots of good pockets for snacks.
- synthetic kathmandu sleeping bag – not recommended. good while dry but doesn’t dry once wet. would recommend down for a similar trip.
- sea to summit ether light sleeping mat – very warm, comfortable and good size.
- old expedition tent 2 person – for this trip specifically I would recommend a bombproof single tent. 2 person was fine but many camp spots would have been easier with 3x single person tents.
- nrs tarp – good while it lasted, extremely light and useful. Was a few years old at the time.
- msr whisperlite stove – key for expedition kayaking
- radix meals – my go to for all adventures no matter how big.
- mons royale merino top – warm, breathable and perfect for multi day use.
- palm merino onsie – perfect base layer for a drysuit.
- stoney creek fleece pants – great for warmth at camp.
- Kathmandu merino base layers – solid reliable and quick drying
- mammut balaclava – essential for cold weather kayaking
- Arc’teryx nuclei (puffer) – one of the best pieces i have purchased.
- macpac atom – (lightweight puffer) -nice piece for the warmer days by itself or doubled up with the big puffer on the colder days
- random wool socks – the unsung heroes.
- kanu beanie – lightweight, merino.
- outdoor research waterproof, fleece lined brimmed hat – my trusted hat for 10+years.
- crocs – camp essential
- five ten water tennies – great grip on wet rock and perfect for portages. However, they did fall apart during the swamp section of the portage.
- samsung s25 ultra – super reliable phone, waterproof and easy access camera.
- Go pro hero 13 – Used constantly in rough conditions
- Sony A7 IV — Main camera for stills and video. Handled the moisture surprisingly well.
- dji mavic 4 mini – Used to get the drone footage.
